One Year of Israel’s Genocide in Gaza: Everything You Need To Know
A guide to understanding Israel's reign of violence on Gaza from 2023 to the present 2024.
The most important fact to remember is that the genocide of Palestinians did not start on Oct. 7, 2023, it has been going on for over 70 years.
The current series of attacks — which has left over 41,000 killed — began on Oct. 7 when the Palestinian resistance group Hamas launched an attack on Israel after facing decades of brutalization.
Israel’s pursuit in attempting to “rescue” its captives has caused catastrophic damage to homes, schools, hospitals and refugee camps. Ongoing Israeli airstrikes and military ground raids are putting Palestinians in critical condition with thousands dead and trapped under the rubble.
As of Oct. 4, 2024, the death toll of Palestinians is at least 41,802 as counted by the Health Ministry, including 16,500 children.
Yet, the Israeli government denies allegations of genocide, claiming its actions as necessary for national security and combating terrorism.
