Millions of people took to the streets on Oct. 7 in major cities around the world to condemn a year of Israel’s war on Gaza.
Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrations took in cities around the world took place to mark the first anniversary of Israel’s declaration of war on Gaza, and a year of genocide in Palestine.

New York City
Several marches, rallies and protests took place on Monday in New York. Efforts were mainly led by by the group Within Our Lifetime, which called for people to “flood New York City for Palestine”
Berlin, Germany
Hundreds marched in support of Gaza in Berlin, Germany this weekend holding flags, banners and other symbols representing Palestine. Police brutalized protestors during demonstrations with many reported arrested.
Manila, Phillipines
In the Philippines, dozens of activists protested near the U.S. embassy in Manila, demanding a ceasefire and humanitarian aid for Gaza.
Sydney, Australia
Hundreds in Australia’s Sydney, came together to remember lives killed in Gaza and Lebanon since Oct. 7, 2023. The Palestine Action Group invited people of all faiths to “unite in solidarity in our call for justice and solidarity.”
Istanbul, Türkiye
In Istanbul, Turkey, people gathered in solidarity to protest the atrocities Palestinians in Gaza face on the eve of Oct. 7.
Bengaluru, India
Protesters in India held signs questioning the morals and values of those siding with Israel. While calling for a ceasefire, several demonstrations spoke of colonization, referencing India’s own experience of oppression under British rule.
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Thousands of Argentines and Palestinian residents in Argentina gathered in Plaza de Mayo to call for an end to the Israeli attack against the Gaza Strip in Argentina on Monday.
Dhaka, Bangladesh
The Palestine Solidarity Committee held a rally and mass procession in front of the Raju Memorial Sculpture at TSC of Dhaka University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Monday.
Tunis, Tunisia
Hundreds gathered in Tunis to condemn Israel for its attacks on both Gaza and Lebanon, on Monday.
Athens, Greece
Young adults and children carried banners and Palestinian flags while attending a demonstration on the first anniversary of Israeli attacks on Gaza in Athens, Greece on Oct. 7.
Brussels, Belgium
Several civil society organizations, under the umbrella of Support Platform for Palestine, held a demonstration with Palestinian flags at Place de la Bourse on Oct. 7, in Brussels, Belgium.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Police sprayed protesters with water during a demonstration in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Monday. While demonstrators were allegedly allowed to be in a designated place near Amsterdam Central Station, police officials used force to relocate several pro-Palestinian activists. Local reports indicate dozens were arrested and detained before being removed by bus from Amsterdam.
Ramallah, West Bank
Dozens of Palestinians carried banners and Palestinian flags as they protested Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip and Beirut in Ramallah of West Bank on Oct. 7.
Tokyo, Japan
Protests were held in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, Japan on Monday. Protesters showed solidarity for the Palestinian people while denouncing the violence Israel’s declaration of war has had on Gaza.
Malaga, Spain
Thousands gathered to demand an end to the arms trade with Israel and the Israeli military occupation in Palestine protest in Malaga, Spain on Sunday. Signs indicating solidarity with Lebanon and Palestine flooded the streets.

As of this report, the death toll of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli military officials is over 41,000. Per the Palestinian Health Ministry, 70 percent of those deaths are women and children, including over 16,500 children killed in the last year.
